      G'day all,

I received a letter from an Enlish lady yesterday who has no direct
connection to the HOLDERNESS name, but, had a friend named Houliston who,
when she died, left her some personal effects. Amongst them are various
birth, marriage and death certificates relating to her family as well as a
photo of her grandfather, a clergyman.

The clergyman's full name was Alexander Furnice HOULISTON, and he married
Maria Atherton HOLDERNESS on 31st of July, 1867. Their ages were 25 and 22
at the time, respectively. Marriage was at St. Batholomew's Church in
county of Middlesex. He dies in 1904, Maria died 'unknown'.

Maria HOLDERNESS' father's name was William and his occupation shown on
marriage certificate was "Gentleman". The names of the two witnesses
were Ellen HOLDERNESS and Harry HOLDERNESS.

If any of the foregoing is of interest to anyone out there, please contact
me and I will give you the rest of the details as well as information on how
to contact the letter writer, who is in West Wittering, West Sussex, in

Have a good day, Chuck HOLDERNESS
