1841 census would indicate he was a shoemaker but on death he is a mail contractor
1861 census place is Blackbull Wynd and same street for Andrew's death
why is his birth place given as Edrom (refer 1861 census) - seems like wrong place - but it is between Chirnside & Dunse

Deceased was found dead in a ditch … plantation close to the side of the public road between Chirnside and Dunse.
A horse and gig which he had been driving was also found overturned in said ditch, and it is believed that the deceased was smothered the horse falling upon, and lying … him.
