It is rather special and attracts visitors from around the world. It's below the Bell window to the left - a small window much admired because it's made of antique glass. It's an interesting example of how different thicknesses of glass are used to carry the amount and angle of light coming through a window.
It was given by an anonymous donor in memory of Isabella Howlison (a former choir mistress in the parish!), who died on 5 October 1929. She was the sister of Edward Howlison of Cook Howlison, the car dealers.
The window is composed of three pictures, one above the other, linked with the quotation 1n as much ... the least of these my brethren" (S.Matthew 25:31-46). A fourth panel depicts the parish church in England from which Miss Howlison came.
Miss Howlison was a tireless worker for the church and parish for over half a century.
The subject of this window is the so-called 'Parable of the Sheep and Goats". Following the Ascension, it was Christ's intention that the work of spreading the rule of God should be carried on by us. We can only do it if the Kingdom has already taken possession of us! if the love of Christ within us warms others ... if we actively follow his example of dying to self and living to and for others
