He was listed in several documents as a metal molder. Then in the 1930 Census he was listed as a night watch men. He was hurt in an industrial accident (broken neck) and was thought not to live. But he fooled them and made it but he could not pursue his vocation any more. Actually he turned his metal molding skills into doing concrete decorative molding as a hobby assisted by grandson J.Lee as his 'gopher'.
