Waters Braman CDV Image- Capt. of the 93rd New York Infantry
This is an original CDV image of a soldier from the 93rd New York Infantry. This image is of Waters W. Braman who enlisted as a 1st lieutenant in December of 1861. He was promoted to captain in March of 1864. The top edge of the image has been trimmed long ago so they would fit into an album. It doesn’t detract from the display of the CDV but is mentioned for exactness. It has his in uniform with his name written in fine old ink. The 93rd also known as the “Morgan Rifles” had a proud history that included fighting at the battle of Yorktown, Cold Harbor, Gettysburg and Petersburg. At the Battle of the Wilderness the 93rd engaged 433 men and it suffered casualties of 258 killed or wounded. This is a nice clear image of a soldier from the 93rd New York Infantry. A brief history of the 93rd as well as the soldier’s history will accompany the image at no extra charge.
