- Note from Leslie Fraser: Donald Fraser (1855-1926) worked for the British Linen Bank (now absorbed by the Bank of Scotland) thus moved from place to place, spending a few years in - you guessed it - Moffat before they ended up in the small town of Kirriemuir, some 15 miles north of Dundee, which was his final posting, by then as Chief Teller who was to all intents Manager, but then in those days a local solicitor (lawyer) would have had the sinecure of absentee Manager.
