  Notes	DOB Jan 1877 from 1900 census Lulu HOULISTON (#) Birth abt 1877 New York City ============================================================================================ On January 17, 1906 she was living at 195 Bowers, Jersey City, N.J., She was living there with her husband Rob (which may be short for Robert) and her baby, Robert. The source of this is a letter that she wrote to her brother William (orginal with J.Lee). She describes the location of where she lives as the Hudson section of Jersey City, near west Hoboken. Matter a fact in that letter she talks about Minnie coming down to visit her. The Jersey City directories for years around 1906 have been searched and the address found but no one living there with the family profile. Also the marrige records in that area have been researched and nothing found. As also the files of the Presbyterian Church through the records on file in Philadelphia, Pa.( records for Presbyterian churches east of the Mississippi) and it has no record of their marriage. In the Jersey Cary directories she was shown as follows: Year 1899-1900 Alfred L SR-270 6th Sr (in Hoboken) Louise- 270 6th St clerk William James-270 6 th St clerk Year 1900-1901 (year ending in May) Alfred L Sr-270 6 th St Louise-270 6 th St, clerk William James- 270 6 th St, clerk. In February 1903 she must have been living with Alfred Lovejoy Houliston and caring for him, as Minnie writes in a letter to Lulu's brother William that Lulu's life is terribly hard in that she is the caretaker for their dad, Alfred L Houliston.
